While visiting the museum, you can touch a real elephant's foot, look inside a full-scale Plains Indian tipi and experience the fascination of the Northwest Coast Indian Welcome Figure. You'll want to wander through Fort Karshner to see the well-stocked trading post, old-time photography studio and covered wagon filled with supplies for a westward journey.

Stored Collection
Over 10,000 items are contained in the museum's stored collection. Discover a range of intriguing objects, from a hunk of the Great Wall of China, stone tools from prehistoric man, an expansive rock and mineral collection, artifacts representing cultures from across the world, to creepy crawly things stored in jars.

Native American A wide array of Northwest, Plains and Southwest Indian artifacts, including a large basketry collection.

Cultures Vast collection from Africa, the South Sea Islands, Japan and China, plus Indian and Eskimo cultures.

Natural History Sea shells, rocks, minerals, fossils and preserved animals; birds, eggs and insects.

Historic Artifacts Items include a man's three-piece suit from the 1770s, gifts from the French Merci Train, late stone-age celts and a fencing rapier.

Chihuly View the permanent installation by contemporary glass artist Dale Chihuly, comprised of selected pieces of his "Baskets" collection.
